At Feet In Motion, we offer treatments that are tailored to you. We work to relieve foot pain and progress you towards getting you back on your feet and enjoying an active life
General foot care
With a gentle touch, we care for your feet. After an intial assessment, and a discussion of your medical history the podiatrist will address any problem nails or skin conditions. Nails will be cut and shaped, skin will be smoothed and moisturised.
Orthoses
The podiatrist may recommend orthoses for you. These are devices that are put into your shoes for various reasons. They are designed to offload painful areas and to assist you to maintain your mobility and remain active. A range of prefabricated devices are available or the podiatrist may make a custom made device suited specifically for your feet.
Children's Feet
While children are developing, their feet posture and issues may cause concern to parents and their carers. It can be important to monitor childrens feet and gait and determine when there is a problem.
When there is a problem, footwear and orthotics may be a solution discussed. Sometimes a referral to a local paediatrician or paediatric physiotherapist will be given.
Above all, our aim is to keep our little ones active and having fun.
Diabetes Assessments
An initial consultation will involve assessments of your blood flow and nerve function. All measurements will be discussed with you and education given on how diabetes can affect you and your feet. These results will be passed on to your doctor with your consent.
Exercise Therapies
At Feet In Motion Podiatry, the goal of treatment is keeping you moving so strengthening and stretching will most likely be part of the treament plan. Movement is medicine and can help prevent injuries and be part of a management plan when considering foot and lower leg pain.
Nail Surgery
Whether you're dealing with ingrown toenails, fungal infections, or other nail abnormalities, nail surgery offers a targeted solution to help you regain optimal foot health and comfort.
